Gardening and Eating for Living - Reconnecting with the environment and our food.

Farmyard Organics See how herbs, vegetables, fruit, fodder and native plants are grown organically throughout this Certified Organic property. Learn how to raise poultry (chickens, ducks and geese), make organic mulches and composts, establish no-till annual crops and perennial pasture, recycle farm, garden and household waste (including greywater). All inputs and methods are suitable for Certified Organic horticulture. Native tree selection is based on fire-retardant, fodder, bird and insect-attracting characteristics.

Fun on the Farm - Many hands make light work of 550kg.

Environmental Education Come and observe a farm/bushland eco-system. See demonstrations of environmentally sustainable gardening and farming with activities that include regeneration of denuded farmland, no-till annual and perennial pasture establishment, planting out native fire-retardant trees and the creation of mini-nature reserves and wildlife corridors. Our next project is to place nesting boxes for endangered Black Cockatoos including the Forest Red-tailed in several of the property’s mature forage trees.
